The Defense Production Act (DPA) authorizes the President to ensure availability of certain supplies for defense, essential civilian, and homeland security requirements. The DPA Title III provides incentives to develop, maintain, modernize, and expand production capacity and critical technologies. DPA Title III establishes guaranteed loans, purchase commitments, grants, and subsidies to expand production capacity and supplies. DPA Title III helps contractors receive loans, direct investments, purchase commitments and other assistance to help in bolstering the supply chain.
