WVU Encova Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The Encova Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship seeks to educate our students, faculty, staff, and community about successfully identifying and navigating entrepreneurial opportunities.

About

The Encova Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship seeks to educate our students, faculty, staff, and community about successfully identifying and navigating entrepreneurial opportunities. It is our goal to build better business leaders for the global market by providing the people of West Virginia with the resources they need to succeed.

The Encova Center works collaboratively internally within the WVU entrepreneurship ecosystem and externally with public and private partners. By focusing on academics, programming and consulting the Encova Center creates meaningful impact across the state, while staying true to the academic mission.

The Encova Center promotes entrepreneurship and innovation in higher education throughout the state. The center also provides support to the entrepreneurship curriculum, student experiential learning projects and student organizations at WVU.

The Encova Center promotes an entrepreneurial mindset in the next generation of West Virginians by supporting collaborative K-12, Higher Education, and community statewide initiatives. The center hosts annual statewide competitions and programming that promote entrepreneurship and innovation.

The Encova Center facilitates mutually beneficial partnerships between businesses in West Virginia and teams of undergraduate and graduate students, to provide a hands-on learning experience while delivering real value to organizations in the form of strategic business consulting.
