The Alliance for the Economic Development of Southern West Virginia (Alliance) is eager to partner with you to grow your ideas, your impact, your employees and your business. We are here to help. Higher Education means jobs.

The Alliance is a joint endeavor between the 10 public higher education institutions in southern West Virginia to assist businesses looking to locate or expand in this 21-county area. We are pooling resources and strengths of individual institutions to promote our region, create jobs and help companies grow right here in West Virginia.

Southern West Virginia is a beautiful area with a multitude of resources and opportunities – some of the most dedicated, skilled workers in the nation, top-notch research capabilities, access to the latest technology, a vibrant and diverse health care workforce supplied by two medical schools and numerous health care service programs throughout the region. More than 30,000 students in the Alliance region are pursuing college degrees ranging from associate to doctorate. No matter if you are an entrepreneur, trying to start a business or working for a corporation, we want to be a part of your team. Through this Alliance, there are many resources available and experts eager to assist your industry.
