The Export Promotion Program supports West Virginia companies with identifying new markets for products and services, establishing connections with potential customers and business partners, and navigating the complex world of international trade.

About

The Export Promotion Program of the West Virginia Department of Economic Development works with small and medium-sized companies located in West Virginia to increase sales to foreign markets through the following activities and programs:

  • Organize trade missions to foreign markets
  • Coordinate West Virginia pavilions at both domestic and international trade shows
  • Administer the WV First STEP – Next STEP grant program 
  • Provide market research to assist in identifying new markets for export  
  • Identify potential business partners, agents, distributors, or end users for a product or service
  • Education and training on export regulations and compliance
  • Export counseling and readiness assessments
  • Solutions for common export problems
  • WV Governor’s Export Awards Recognition
