Evansdale Library at West Virginia University is the only Patent and Trademark Resource Center (PTRC) in the state of West Virginia. As a PTRC, the library receives current copies of U.S. Plant Patents, provides access to USPTO patent and trademark databases. All the tools necessary to perform a preliminary patent or trademark search are available in the library. The patent and trademark librarian, Marian Armour-Gemmen, provides reference assistance throughout the state and teaches users how to search patent and trademark databases. Virtual Assistance Program for Pro Se Inventors is available to those able to come to Morgantown PTRC (Evansdale Library) to meet with a USPTO patent examiner via a WebEx connection. Make an appointment with Marian Armour-Gemmen, the patent and trademark librarian, by calling (304) 293-9758 or sending an e-mail to marmour@wvu.edu. Zoom or Microsoft Team meetings are available.
