NSF I Corps teaches the foundations of the business model canvas and customer discovery.

About

The National Science Foundation I-Corps program is designed to help educate researchers and clinicians on the basic principles of customer discovery and entrepreneurship and provides the first major step in translating science to commercial products. Through a hypothesis-driven approach, participants are given the tools and knowledge to become successful in understanding and implementing customer discovery and product-market fit.  The regional course is completely free, runs approximately 3.5 weeks and is fully virtual.  Offered three times a year it is great way to jump into customer discovery and the business model canvas.  This program is open to all residents of West Virginia, regardless of university of business affiliations.  Qualifying teams that complete the regional course can then apply to the national course which runs 8 weeks long and provides a financial stipend to complete broader customer discovery.
