Partner Community Capital is a community development lender based in Charles Town, West Virginia, that serves 7 states in Central Appalachia and the Southeast. Partner Community Capital provides flexible and affordable loans and advisory services to businesses, farm and nonprofit enterprises that can’t access traditional financing, for whatever reason. Our overall goal is to support environmentally responsible, local business development and job creation. We specialize in:

  • food/farm
  • ecotourism and recreation
  • clean energy and efficiency
  • downtown redevelopment
  • small manufacturing
  • health and other care industries. 

We understand that capital alone isn’t enough to make businesses succeed. Therefore, we provide advisory services to our borrowers, so they can make the best use of the loans they receive. We also host the WV Women’s Business Center which specializes in providing counseling, training and mentorship to historically underserved businesses – such as women and minority owned businesses. Partner Community Capital makes loans for working capital, equipment and real estate, from $25,000 up to $1 million. We can provide senior or subordinated debt, working in partnership with your bank or another lender. Our capital is considered “equity like” by some banks. Our rates are based on risk and tend to be slightly higher than banks; short-term loans tend to be fixed rate, while longer term loans tend to be variable. Terms are based on loan use, such as:

  • 1-3 years for working capital
  • 3-7 years for equipment
  • up to 15 years for real estate
