Jobs & Hope WV

Established by Governor Jim Justice and the WV Legislature, this program offers support through a statewide collaboration of agencies that provide West Virginians in recovery the opportunity to obtain career training and secure meaningful employment.

About

Jobs and Hope WV is a career development program that was introduced by Governor Justice and the WV Legislature in 2019. The program works with individuals that are in recovery, justice-involved, or have barriers to education, training, and career employment. Jobs & Hope WV has established a variety of state-wide partnerships to assist in eliminating some of the most common barriers that our participants face when working toward career employment.

The program works to bring partners together to prepare participants for a lifetime of success. By making available the appropriate educational and training opportunities, West Virginia can provide its citizens with the work skills needed by businesses currently in the state or those planning a West Virginia location. Jobs & Hope WV aims to create a skilled group of participants ready to meet the workforce needs of their communities. Upon entering the workforce, participants will receive ongoing support from Transition Agents and/or the West Virginia Department of Health & Human Resources to ensure success.
