The Incubator offers support to early-stage startups to help them grow and scale by providing office space, mentoring, networking, and technical assistance in areas like marketing, accounting, and access to capital.

About

The Brad D. Smith Business Incubator is located in downtown Huntington on the first floor of Marshall’s Visual Arts Center across from Pullman Square. The incubator is mixed-use, meaning we serve entrepreneurs from a variety of industries. The Incubator offers support to early-stage startups to help them grow and scale by providing office space, mentoring, networking, and technical assistance in areas like marketing, accounting, and access to capital. Our affiliation with Marshall University gives our clients a direct line to the expertise of the University’s faculty and connections to students for internships and experiential learning opportunities. The goal of the Incubator is to foster an innovation ecosystem, or startup culture, in Huntington to create jobs and strengthen the economy.

What the Incubator Offers

Expert Assistance

Incubator clients receive innovation and business development coaching from our Acting Director/Interim Associate Director. Clients also receive expert assistance from university faculty and our service provider partners.  

Networking

Incubator clients find great benefit in interacting and partnering with each other. As a client, you will also have access to a network of successful entrepreneurs, university faculty, and community leaders.

Low-Cost Office Space

The Incubator offers low-cost cubicle spaces with a shared conference and shared kitchenette. Clients also have access to free wi-fi, phone, mail services, printing, scanning, and copying. The Incubator’s goal is to keep your operating costs low so you can focus on growing your business.
