Program Spotlight for December
DARRE is a three-year program partnership between the WV Community Development Hub, WV Northern Brownfields Assistance Center, Woodlands Development & Lending, and Partner Community Capital (formerly Natural Capital Investment). The DARRE program brings together numerous partners throughout the state and region to undertake a deliberate and concentrated approach to supporting the development and revitalization of historic downtowns in 8 communities in the Mon Forest Region (Cowen, Elkins, Franklin, Marlinton, Parsons, Petersburg, Richwood, and White Sulphur Springs). The partners working on the DARRE program will support the participating towns with the kinds of technical assistance that makes their downtowns “development ready,”

Jumpstart is a savings program through the Treasurer’s Office that helps West Virginians pursue a trade or start their own business. Expenses include (1) tools, equipment, and supplies for a registered apprenticeship or training program with a career and technical center or community and technical college; (2) licenses and certifications costs; and (3) business start-up costs. https://jumpstartwv.com/
