New Funding Window to Open in March for USDA Broadband Program

Program webinar will take place on March 6 for interested applicants

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development is inviting loan and grant applications from organizations to provide funds for the costs of construction, improvement, or acquisition of facilities and equipment needed to provide broadband service in eligible rural areas in West Virginia.

Rural Development will begin accepting applications on March 22, 2024, for its fifth round of funding for the ReConnect Program to connect millions of people in rural America to affordable high-speed internet.

To continue connecting rural families, business owners and agricultural producers to reliable, affordable high-speed internet, Rural Development is making several program improvements under Round 5. This will further increase the availability of funding in rural areas where residents and businesses lack access to affordable, high-speed internet.

Rural Development’s Rural Utilities Service will hold a webinar on March 6 at 1 p.m. to provide information about the ReConnect Program, cover the recently published Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), and answer any questions. Register for the free webinar here: tinyurl.com/ReConnectRd5.
